These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the EdgeMail WordPress plugin, the EdgeMail Pro licensed software, the website at edgemailapp.com, the licence server at api.edgemailapp.com, and any related services (together, the "Service"). The Service is provided by Edgeworks LLC, a company registered in Tbilisi, Georgia ("Edgeworks," "we," "us"). By installing the plugin, purchasing a Pro licence, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Edgeworks LLC is the publisher of EdgeMail. Our registered address is in Tbilisi, Georgia. You can reach us at info@edgemailapp.com or +44 131 564 0150 (email preferred for faster response). EdgeMail is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Cloudflare, Inc.
EdgeMail is a WordPress plugin that routes email sent by a WordPress site through the Cloudflare Email Service REST API. It is distributed in two tiers:
Distributed via the WordPress.org plugin directory under the GPL-2.0-or-later licence. The GPL governs your rights to use, modify, and redistribute the free plugin code. Nothing in these Terms restricts rights granted to you by the GPL with respect to the free tier.
Additional features (unlimited log retention, retry queue, open & click tracking, weekly health reports, multisite support, the send_batch() API, and priority support) are unlocked by a valid licence key purchased from us through our payment processor.
We may add, change, or remove features over time. Material changes that reduce functionality you paid for will be announced in advance and, where appropriate, will trigger a pro-rated refund option.
All Pro licence purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), which acts as the Merchant of Record and reseller for our products. This means that Paddle — not Edgeworks — is the legal seller on each transaction. Paddle handles payment processing, billing, currency conversion, fraud prevention, tax calculation, tax remittance, and buyer support for payment-related matters.
When you purchase a Pro licence you enter into a contract with Paddle under the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms and Conditions, in addition to these Terms. Where the Paddle Buyer Terms conflict with these Terms in relation to payment, billing, or consumer statutory rights, the Paddle Buyer Terms prevail.
A Pro licence is a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to activate and use EdgeMail Pro on a number of production WordPress installations up to the site limit of your tier, for the duration of your active subscription:
Staging and development environments do not count against your site limit, provided they are not used to send production email to real recipients. A multisite network counts as a single site regardless of how many subsites it has.
Activations are managed through the plugin and the licence server at api.edgemailapp.com. You can deactivate a site from within the plugin at any time to free up a licence slot. If you need help redistributing activations (for example, after a host migration), contact info@edgemailapp.com.
Pro licences are annual subscriptions. Paddle will automatically attempt to renew your subscription on its anniversary unless you cancel beforehand through Paddle or by contacting us. If a renewal price changes, you will be notified in advance of the renewal date. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period and you will retain Pro access until that date.
If a Pro licence expires, the plugin will continue to function but Pro features will be disabled. Your installed version of the plugin will continue to work; you simply lose access to updates and Pro features until the licence is renewed.
Pro licences are covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee on first purchase. Full details, eligibility criteria, and the process for requesting a refund are described in our separate Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
You agree not to use EdgeMail, or the Cloudflare Email Service through it, to:
We may suspend or terminate a licence that is being used in breach of this section, without refund, and we will cooperate with Cloudflare and with law-enforcement or regulatory bodies in connection with abuse.
You are responsible for:
The free plugin is licensed under GPL-2.0-or-later, and your rights in respect of the free plugin are governed by that licence. The EdgeMail Pro code that unlocks Pro features, the EdgeMail name and logo, the design of the website, the licence server software, and all related trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual-property rights remain the property of Edgeworks LLC or its licensors.
These Terms do not grant you any right to use the EdgeMail name, logo, or trademarks except as reasonably necessary to use the Service. You may not remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or licence notices in the Pro code.
Our Privacy Policy describes what personal data we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and your rights. It is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
EdgeMail depends on services operated by third parties — most notably Cloudflare, Inc. (for email delivery) and Paddle (for payments). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, pricing, or behaviour of those third-party services, but we will use reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility with them.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that the Service will be secure, free of viruses or other harmful components, or that any particular email will be delivered, accepted, or not marked as spam.
Nothing in this section limits or excludes any warranty or right that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Edgeworks LLC, its owners, employees, agents, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from or related to the Service, whether based on contract, tort, statute, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to the Service, in any 12-month period, is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid us for the Service in that period, or (b) USD 100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Edgeworks LLC from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to (a) your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, (b) the content of emails you send through the Service, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right.
You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the plugin and cancelling your Pro subscription through Paddle. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you materially breach these Terms (including the acceptable-use section), if required by law, if your payment fails and is not cured, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual-property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law — will survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the website and, where we hold your contact details as a Pro customer, by email, at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you may cancel your subscription before the effective date and we will refund any unused pre-paid portion of your current subscription term on a pro-rata basis.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia (the country), without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of Tbilisi, Georgia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms, except that we may bring proceedings in your jurisdiction of residence where required by local consumer-protection law, and your statutory consumer rights in your jurisdiction of residence are not affected.
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be modified only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy, and the Paddle Buyer Terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and Edgeworks LLC in relation to the Service.
